Jobs are important aspects of everyday life. Every person needs a job to sustain his/her existence. Jobs not only provide people financial security but also provide them with a sense of purpose and direction in their lives. Human resource managers not only ensure that employees get remuneration for their work, but also help to nurture good employee relations. A good relationship between the employer and employee ensures that employees maintain high standards of employment and come to the workplace, with high morale, prepared to put in their best effort.

The tasks performed by human resources managers may vary from dealing with newly hired staff to assisting existing staff to perform their tasks better. The overall responsibility of this job lies in the fact that it involves managing people. Many times, this involves conflict between employees and employers. Human resource managers try to resolve these conflicts amicably by engaging both the parties in fruitful negotiations. The process enables both sides to meet their objectives and meet the goals set by the organization.
